Grrr I'm so sick of b*s with Koreans and phones! You would think Koreans were born with a mobile phone in their hands!

I was sent a message by a Korean friend a while back- "Have a good time on Jeju"- simple. Is not a question, does not require a response. Furthermore, was sent days before said trip was going to take place. Having not responded, after two days, another friend reports that the person who sent the message thinks I hate her.

Last night, I go to the sauna. I come out and check my phone. I have messages from another Korean friend who thinks I hate him. Confused, I then get a call from said person, who hangs up. I then get a call from another Korean friend acting on the first person's behalf, who wants to know why I didn't call the first person back after missing his calls (I check my phone and find some missed calls). I have been out of the sauna for only five minutes at this point. The guy who sent me the messages thinks I ignored his calls. I then get another text message from a very concerned completely different person, who is worried that I didn't call her back immediately. I check my phone again and find a missed call. What should I do next time- take my mobile into the bloody tub? Do Koreans slip the phone up their ass crack in case their friend sends a message?

I do not care for phones. I don't check my phone every five minutes compulsively. I don't check my missed calls. I rarely call people back. I find Koreans behaviour with phones and messages really insecure.

I don't have a phone.
If some one wants to get a hold of me they call the Ajumma downstairs.

Works for me.

I have Skype but that's an international call Smile
