Has anybody done a visa run to Shanghai? I need to know how long it will take to get a C4 visa processed. Also, how much does it cost and what size pictures do I need to bring? Ive been trying to call them for a week but they refuse to answer their phone...steaming mad about it...

Thanks in advance

No idea about a consulate(sorry) but I'm curious: What does a "C4" entitle you to do in Korea?

I had a friend that tried to get her visa for a week in Beijing with no luck. She ended up just having to come back and go to fukuoka. She said they had no idea what they were doing and kept giving her the run around about what she needed even thogh she had it all lined up

I know. I'm just trying to say that if you are planning to go to Shanghai on a visa run, its not the best idea. Are you going there for vacation anyway and just trying to kill two birds with one stone? Or are you trying to decide ona visa run locale?

i currently live in china and was planning on stopping in shanghai on my way to korea to get the visa. it sounded like no problem at all, but because there is absolutely no information about visas on their webpage and they wont return emails or answer calls, i cant plan anything because i have no idea how long it will take, how much it costs, what size pics etc. really getting pissed off...

Where do you live in China. Getting a korean visa in China will take about 4 days.
I see what you mean about the KOrean consulate in China. They don't have an address or phone number on their websate.

I'm going to make a general assumption here, that the photo size needed is the same size for your E-2 visa, and ARC which is a standard passport size. Hope this helps.

yeah, you can go to any Kodak store and they should have a "KOREA" sized picture, the different countries were on a page with the names to show you which one.. well, it was like this in BJ and I went to 3 different ones (at different times)

took 3 days in BJ to get a E-2 for me, absolutely no problem
