I am taking my students (3rd grade of MS) to Paju English Village right after the final exams this coming week. Since I don't have any prior experiences with this sort of field trips I have no idea as to how to make this field trip a productive and interesting one.
If you work there or have been there with your students... could you plesae give me advice or comments? Thanks for your time. |

Save your money. You will be horribly disappointed.
There is NO English spoken outside of the optional activities (and you pay extra for each and every one of those).
Unless you take an English speaking foreigner with you - you will probably not meet one. There are a few East Europeans working in the stores. They don't speak English very well but they are foreign and white.
Our school made the mistake of busing 120 kids up there and we were so disappointed that the principal sent written complaints to the Gyeonggi education office. |

Paju English village is a joke! I did have a nice relaxing afternoon when I went there on a class trip however. Your students will learn absolutely nothing, I suggestion you use the time to bond with your students so it's not a complete waste.
