I love the re-hashed wit on this board. Sorry, drinks are not served

You seem to be an intelligent man, and I'm not saying this because of the "Dr." placed in front of your name. Obviously, your beliefs are radically different from the norm, and you must have anticipated some of the negative reactions you're getting.
How do you respond to the notion that your experiences might simply be the result of sleep paralysis and hypnagogia? In times past, people swore that they had been visited by succubi/incubi. |
Thank you for your rational suggestions, and I have considered those and other causes of my experiences. It is difficult to respond to people who ask such questions, because my experience is subjective. I suppose to be honest with myself and others, I would have to agree that the causes you mentioned are possible. I only know that the experiences are real to me and many others who have experienced similar things. My ET encounters have actually caused me to call all reality into question, and I have come to the conclusion (at this point in "time") that all reality is subjective. I do not believe in objective reality at all.

My parents both have PhDs, but they don't use the nomenclature outside of a professional setting. What are you trying to say by using it in this context?

Dear Kermo,
I suppose it just depends on the individual. I mean nothing by it other than that I am a doctor of philosophy.

Do you think it makes you appear more credible? Does it seem important? |

How much did your doctorate cost? I thought about buying a doctorate from the Universal Life Church, but there's a short test you have to take first.

Dear Corky,
I've sold a few, but I do not expect to get rich off of this. That is not my purpose.
My PhD is from the University of Sedona, which is a New Age metaphysical university. I took two years to complete the degree, and had to submit a dissertation (ended up being 186 pages).
Because I know this board so well, I am sure someone is already googling the UoS before I post this. Even though I have explained the university type, and the work I put into the degree, I await the "diploma-mill" replies. I will answer some questions before they're even asked:
(1) UoS requires work to be done and dissertations to be written.
(2) You cannot just send in a check for a degree.
(3) The UoS is specifically designed for training in New Thought theology, not academic religious studies.
Blessings,
Dr. Paul Daniel Payne

Aren't you worried throwing around that fancy "Dr" title you'll come across as arrogant? You're already toeing the crazy line with the whole UFO cult thing. |

Ha!
Someone has to say this. The reason your buddies don't appear to the rest of humanity is because they don't exist. It's that simple. |
