I can understand being lost spiritually, but you seem absolutely bent on being spiritual, say as one would desire to be a great saxaphone player or something. For you, is it a calling or a desire?
Do you want to lead a cult? Is that what all this is about? Nothing else fits you so you dream up your own? Sorry man, but this looks like that. You go to some wacky school to get your doctorate, to validate the leadership you desire...freaky to me. |
I suppose it would only appear that way to someone who is stuck in a certain paradigm. I do not consider what I have come from in the past to have changed. Rather, I view those things as "turns" on the singular path of spiritual awakening. It is not that the former is necessarily false, just that moving along a spiritual path necessitates that I actually move.
My only concern is helping people reach spiritual awakening.

You answered, but not the questions. If it's your personal journey, why do you want riders? I mean, why do you think you can help others when you are still kinda lost yourself?

This is just Daniels' latest thing. Looking back on his postings will reveal a long search for some kind of faith. I'm sure it will pass.
It is pretty weird though. Seems like his faith is a cut & paste from many different beliefs. Selecting whichever component of each that serves him as he is, not as he wants to be. Affirming himself instead of searching for himself.
Anyone else think that Daniel wants to be some kind of oddball leader like Moon or even more extreme, Koresh? Perhaps we will find out in time what will become of him and his ideas, but as I opened with, I think it's just his latest spiritual 'thing'. |
I doubt it. SeoulUnitarian seems more concerned about selling books, CDs, DVDs, etc. so as to spread the New Gospel. He doesn't seem inclined to tell people to come to his church, make donations, or live with him in a compound where they'll stockpile AK-47s to make a final stand against the puppets of a reawakened Xenu.
I am, as I hinted at before, concerned about people self-hynotizing. I think that hypnosis should be undertaken with a trained professional present. |
Concerning hypnosis, I do have certification in administering hypnosis. I also agree that hypnosis should not be undertaken lightly, but if instructions are carefully followed, it can do no harm and quite a bit of good.

It is a personal journey I am confident can help other people. It would be irresponsible of me not to share it. I really would like you to answer why you equate traveling on a spiritual journey to being lost.

So then, you have reached your goal? Can you say with certainty where it will end? You call it a journey; where are you going? Toward spiritual enlightenment, right? New age psychobabble. Heal the world.
And you can cut the corny signature stuff. This is Dave's; we know you too well for that. |

By regionally accreditted I assume you mean it's only recognised in nutbag Baptist universities in one small region of the US. |

Ah, I'm sorry. I'm guessing you are not from the States. There are six official regional accrediting agencies in the US. NOBTS is accredited by one of those recognized by the government (Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Commission on Colleges). It is also accredited by ATS, another recognized agency.

Why would you not get physical evidence? Or why would your angels not give it to you?
With photos and videos, the goal of spreading this new spiritualism would be easily achieved.
Without them, people will just assume you're delusional.
If you really want to establish regional meetings in every major city of the Earth, wouldn't it make sense to show people that you're not some crazy cultist?
There's no logical reason for not having photos/videos, unless your stories aren't true. If I wanted you to believe that I had a mouse living under my bed, then I would take a photo so you could see it. Why can't you do it?
We all know the real reason, but I want to know your reason. |

All religions rely on faith. It's their big thing.
If SeoulUFOlogist showed you a video of Gabriel and Yeshua flying through his window and saying "Bend over and we will teach you the Meaning Of Life," you wouldn't have faith in his religion. You'd know it to be true.
Somehow that wouldn't work. |

If you can explain to me how someone would go about recording or videoing telepathic communication, I will be more than happy to oblige. My last physical meetings with Gabriel and Yeshua occurred when I was seven.

Hello, Demophobe!
I'm not saying Yeshua and Gabriel are real people,
but I understand SU's never-ending search to learn more.
For some of us, whenever we reach the horizon, we find that the horizon has moved.
I realize that this is not true of all people.
There are people right here on this board who commit themselves to one particular religion and tell us that all anyone has to know is that one particular religion with its small collection of doctrines, buzz words, slogans, and anecdotes.
I think that those in the second group are missing out on valuable learning opportunities.
That is why I prefer to enroll in the first group. |
