I'm sure this is a redundant topic but I need some advice. I left a contract after working two months without giving notice. I did this because I had a serious health issue and needed to leave the country immediately. If I had given notice I would have had a large amount of money deducted from my pay and not been able to afford a ticket home.
I was able to complete my previous contract and stayed the entire year. I had the same desire to complete my contract but felt it necessary to leave. The early departure was the right thing to do as I was hospitalized for several days upon my return home. The Korean Dr. also misdiagnosed the problem.
Anyway, what I can I do to resolve imigration issues and get another E-2 visa? |

How long ago did you leave your job? Without a letter of release from your employer, you are very unlikely to be able to get another E2 Visa until the 12 month period of your last one has expired.
I don't think that korean immigration will be very sympathetic to your situation. What would have been deducted from your salary? Reimbursed airfare? Remember, your ex-boss is likely to be contacted in all this... what exaggerations could he make about you "stealing" from him? What's his side of the story?
If you left not long ago, I'd forget about Korea until that 12 month period has expired. Look at Japan, Taiwan or China. |

If they filed a complaint with Immigration over what you did, you may be denied a new work visa in the future. If they simply did nothing, then you can get another visa without an issue after the first one would have expired. |

Why didn't you just tell your school the full situation and ask them for the time you needed off? Most contracts have provision for serious illness. That way you could have gone straight back to wotk when you were able. |
