What is the deal with your avatar?
Some on here are very interesting. Mine not so much.but to get it started:
I picked mine on a whim. I picked it without thinking about Hugh Grant being British or a movie star. I just LOVE the facial expression given the circumstances when the photo was taken. A mixture of shame, Oh I really stepped in it now and annoyance in equal measure - how apt to represent an ESL teacher! (the shame specifically due to the poor reputation of ESL teachers in Thailand - I picked the avatar when I was in Thailand and have never changed it). |

my all-time number one favourite movie is brazil.
there's a scene in it where sam lowry's mother is getting a radical new facial treatment, and she looks something like this.

I've seen that movie at least 20 times since it first came out.
I picked out Sampson after I purchased my first set of DOGGLES for my first dog. Sampson is the spokesdog of the company that makes DOGGLES. He's been with me so long, I've come to love him as much as my own dogs. |

I just like the juxtaposition of a girl next door smile and whip. Been told more than a few times that it suits me too |

Cool so can we talk about me, that is myself, Lord of whatever Land I happen upon... I was a Storm Trooper Viking Crusader for The Empire Our Power is Absolute by The Death Waiting in every Naval Gator MEU. What Nation does not fear the Empire's might when they send a ship flotilla laden with Devil Dogs who breath to fight? Yet, I was a kindly Knight Errant as I never gave into the Dark Side of the Force and brought down, camels, monkeys, cows, or the unthinkable... unarmed civilians... some Marines have done this. Sadly, in my absence it seems a very small few Hell Hounds have given in to hate and embraced darkness... but they'll finish their trial... |

I used to be a dancer, and I love dance photos. The symmetry in their arms kind of drew me to this photo, and it just seemed to capture a moment of serenity. I just remembered when I was dancing, it was those moments on stage where you are in an open and vulnerable position that you felt the most in the moment, so I was kind of attracted to it. |

Mine is a studio photo of me back during my swashbuckling days.
I still do it (swashbuckling) on occasion, but nowadays only in soju tents. |

I don't mean this in a bad way, but you look like Stiffler from that American Pie movie. |
