|
|
It drives me crazy. Unnecessary acts of foolishness make women jump for joy. I traveled on the subway during rush hour for an hour to meet my girl, and turned around and traveled right back for another hour. She said I didnt have to but that it "would be nice to be with you for one more hour". So I spent most of my evening on the subway. She was estatic that I did this unnecessary act. Why does this please them so? What do the women of the world make you do? |

Some people avoid the kind of woman (or man) that makes them jump thru hoops. Others enjoy being obedient. |

Were you sweaty? I'm always a sweaty mess when I get on the rush hour subway trains. |

Excuse the double post. I was all excited.
Since moving to Seoul from Ilsan, I have found that it's easier to just leave the car at home most of the time.
The subway is a sweaty mass of humanity, full of blank stares and the occasional blind (?) person playing sappy music pushing their way through.
I sometimes think I'm back in Boston.
To the OP: She's happy because you act like a doormat by doing stuff like that. If she wants to see you so bad, tell her to hop on the subway.
Since you have junk downstairs (I assume), you should do a better job of representing the group. Know what I mean? |

B ware.
Many women are on power trips to blow up their egos. Its hard to believe that some will lead you on and on down the garden path just to make themselves feel "special".
This sort of game playing is not natural to men I think- but often women seem to delight in fooling guys for fun. Not something they ever really grow out of, that desperate need to be the centre of attention. They'll even pretend not to be married and all sorts of stuff to keep it going.
I used to think it was mostly Korean women that did this, but it seems to be universal.
Problem is, you don't always recognise it or see it coming half the time. |

oh come on- she could be thrilled she thinks you like her so much you'd deal with all that crap just for 1 more hour with her. |

I agree with Amber. I would think most people would like it if someone does something for the other person. Dealing with an inconvenience just shows that the other person cares enough to deal with it.
And this isn't solely the domain of women, either. I've inconvenienced myself plenty of times for guys, and as long as the guy was appreciative it wasn't an issue. If the other person takes it for granted, that's another story.
But for the OP: are you complaining about the traveling or wondering why women care when guys make an effort? If it's the former, you shouldn't be dating the women if the dislike of traveling is stronger than your feelings for her. If it's the latter, I would think it's obvious - people like it when others do things for them, it shows they care. |

If spending more time with you was her real goal, wouldn't she have gotten more time if she had jumped onto the subway herself and met you halfway and hung out at some restaurant?... or was it, like everyone else is asking, a booty call? heck, even if it was a booty, call, i'm sure there are love motels in between. |
