I've noticed that a lot of posts recently have been about dating people from Korea.
Is there anyone who has started dating a fellow foreign teacher since going over to Korea? And if so, any good stories?
No particular reason, just wondering. |

Naw, there's no foreign women where I am. And the ones that do exist are either boring or around a 5.5-6.5, nothing special. |

Well just think if you hooked up with one. Two "borings" would cancel each other out and would make an "interesting". Plus together you'd make a pefect 10. |

The fellas I've been closest to here haven't been English teachers OR Koreans. They've been engineers and scientists. Not sure why that is. |

I wobbled between office types and a GI while I was there. I know of lots of people who hooked up with other teachers, some produced great stories, but they aren't mine to tell |

All the (male) teachers I know are too old, too alcoholic, too gay, or too involved with someone else (always a Korean). |

I have.
First one left Korea after a year and a half of a great relationship.
Second one left Korea just as I was getting to really like him. Contracts up in both cases, not looking to renew.
Now... I have a fantastic relationship, and I'm leaving Korea in 4 months.
Back home, I live several thousand miles away from each of them.
The people themselves are great, but the uncertainty of how long we'll be together is the thing that gets me down. It helps to have similar goals, but I've found that just as varied as the backgrounds of many of us are, so too are the futures. |

I met my wife in Korea; we're both Americans. I saw her on the subway and we struck up a conversation. She was reading a book by a great writer. |

Wow, I must remember to bring good books
That's such a sweet story - also in response to my earlier reply, I'm not saying i'm a hag with a swear word to stress the point - I was saying I am a 'Grace' to many a 'Will' but the f word got removed. |
