| Wow, I am so happy you found a home for Betty. Hopefully it'll be a FOREVER home. |
Yea, forever or until the person who took her decides to leave Korea, whichever comes first.
I know spliff sounds like an ass, but he has some valid points. After reading spliff's comments, I hope people stop and think just for a minute about the commitment they're making before taking on a pet.
At least they know they're gonna catch some crap for it if the try and dump the animal off in this forum. |

Look, its good that khyber is trying.
I have 2 dogs, both found wandering the streets at the ages of 1 and 3 months respectively. Someone just didn't want them and set them loose somewhere. We found them cold, crying, sick, covered with bugs and skinny as rails.
Thank God for people who try to do the responsible thing with their unwanted animals. Nothing wrong with posting here, although I hope whoever takes the dog is a long-termer or willing to do what it takes to really own a pet.
Good luck to Betty. She is lucky to have someone care about her. |

But couldn't you extend the point to say, "Why do people rescue animals off the street if they aren't willing to keep them"? |

My apartment complex is crawling with feral cats. Every few weeks there's a new litter to be found. I pity the cats, but I'm not on a crusade. It's how nature works.
As far as people rescuing animals off the street, well they better have a plan. They may not have to keep them, but they better know what they're going to do with them if they can't keep them.
And I don't think Dave's ESL Cafe's Buy and Sell Forum is the best place to be searching for an animal's permanent home. This community is just a little transient, wouldn't you say? |

I was lucky enough to meet the guy and I asked him twice to make sure he would take the dog along when he left (he's staying in korea for 2+ years still).
I was VERY VERY hesitant to give Betty to anyone from the UK cause of the quaruntine process. Luckily, this guy is an American and, by all accounts (he's a friend of a friend) he's a very stand up guy. |

| Yes, I'm adopting the dog permanently. Sorry if anyone else was disappointed in their search for a dog. Good luck. |
