Fishead soup

I was at a Japenese tuna restaurant. The Sushi chef poped the eye ball out of the fishead and poped open the eyeball and took out a frozen peice.
He put it in a kettle and filled it with soju. Then he gave us each a shot.
I'll drink anything thats free.
You can really get a lot of free drinks at these places. |

Why do Americans say tuna FISH? Is there tuna chicken, tuna cow...isn't the fish implied?? |

Yeah, why is that? I'm American and I just say tuna. I guess we should say salmon fish, pollack fish, etc.  |

Anyway, back to OP. My husband drank that once. I nearly threw up just watching him drink it! |

I'm Canadian, again, isn't fish implied in cod fish. Is there a cod cow, cod cow, cod chicken....we just say cod. |

We say it purely to irritate people from other countries. That's why we do almost everything that we do. We get OFF on it, man. |
