I was recently profiled in the JoongAng Daily and there were at least
a dozen factual errors in the story, including my name and the title of the zine I used to make. I emailed the journalist breaking down all the mistakes she had made and the best she could say in reply was, "Sorry if I didn't get all the 'phrasing' right."
Bloody ridiculous, but of course half-assed journalism is simply par for the course here in the Hubcab of Asia. Let's hope JoongAng's new editor tightens things up a bit... I won't be holding my breath though! |
