...and given myself only 2 hours 35mins to get a connection flight from Busan to Jeju!
I am flying in from abroad so I think I will need to go through immigration in Busan and I also bought tickets separately so will need to get my luggage!!
Is this doable?? 2 hours 35 mins to go through immigration, get luggage and board flight to Jeju! I am hoping there is someone out there who has done this before...please!?

Well in the UK the checkin time for domestic flights is one hour early and not the international two.
This suggests it is possible to do the checking in stuff within an hour. So that gives you 90 mins to get off the plane and find the line.
THat's doable I think. |

LOL, I see that you actually mean that you gave yourself 155 minutes, not the 2.35 minutes you said you had in the first sentence. I initially thought that you were much more of an idiot than you are. |

I really don't think it'll be a problem. What you're saying is you have 2.5 hours between connecting flights? Doable. |

About an hour before landing in Busan, approach the cabin staff and explain your situation, and that you are worried about the time scale, and then ask if it is possible if you could disembark first, maybe with the Business class passengers. Have you flight ticket/e-ticket for your Jeju leg with you so that you can prove that your situ is true.
This will help beat the immigration queues. Also when you check-in for your Busan bound leg, don't check in first, leave it a while, that might increase the chance of your bag being unloaded first. |

Potentially doable ... depending on one thing ... Whether or not your first plane lands on time .... Which is not something that you can predict or guarantee ... Delays are reasonably common on International flights ... so it could be a risk ... I would suggest having a backup plan of what you will do ... or at least know what your options are if your International flight does arrive late ... or you take longer to get through customs/immigration and get your bags ... all of which are very possible ... so if something does go wrong you know what to do ...

Do as everyone else does - unbuckle your seatbelt, hop up and grab your carryon and head for the exit - the very second the plane touches down. That'll cut a good ten minutes off your transit time.
But, really, shouldn't be a problem. |

Another thing... The last time I flew to Jeju from Seoul i changed both my flight times to and fro, with no hassle whatsoever at the airport. |

One Friday evening I missed my flight from Jjeu to Seoul. I thought I would have to cough up for a new ticket. It cost me man Won (a fiver to you fella) to change the paperwork. Korean Air aint no Easy Jet my friend. So, if you do miss your connection there will be a fiver involved. Personally I think you will have enough time for your connection.
All the best, and enjoy your stay in the 'land of the morning calm'
To my knowledge there are about four people from Blighty. Get use to the North American drawl

Yes, I can't say I enjoyed the ex-pat community, the 'big smoke' is certainly more diverse. However, there was some 'good eggs'.

Contrarian. Interesting how you say we Brits have a poor command of the 'mother tongue'. Eh, I thought it was you North Amer. who bastardised the Englisg language. Yes, strange bunch down on the island. The ex-pats in the 'big smoke' seem to be more open minded. I've met many a good North Amer. up here, but I was lucky if I met a couple down on Jeju. I think the island attracts the wrong sort. To the o.p. not the greatest ex-pat community, unless you like terrible live music. But I enjoyed the locals, and the scenery was top. Though the winter months were some what boring unless you like ultimate frizbee. So, yes like one poster suggested perhaps stay in Busan.
Regards and make the most of the summer. |

Cheers for all the advice, I will deffo take it all on board (...ahem).
Fall back is the later Asiana flight, which gives me about 3 and a half hours, and I would expect they are more lenient than Korean Air, so should be sound.
Keep the weather nice for me over there, half of England is under water at the mo!! |
