About 250 pics have dissappeared off of the 1 gig memory card inside my camera. Only the last 8 pics show up on the preview screen, however, the camera shows that I only have space left for another 16 pics. So the data is, hopefully, still there.

Any ideas about what I should do? I'm worried about taking it to a camera shop in China because they might just print the 8 pics and wipe the card.....

I bought a memory chip in Beijing and it was faulty! Go figure with something i got for so cheap...in China! I know it's hard to swallow but I think you need to forget about those photos and get yourself a legit memory card. Good luck!
