I know there are a few on this board who have been here. Is this place still open?

I followed instructions that previous posters had given but i think the place it would have been is now being refurbished. Can anyone confirm or deny the continued existance of this place?

I went there in March. To get there from Seodaejeon, you have to walk underneath the roadway overpass.

Where is it in relation to Axis? Is it on that same main road? I went under the underpass (where the workout machines are) and walked straight down the main road at the end. I saw Axis but couldnt find Hitler.

Hmm, I'm trying to figure out where you went. It is on the same road as Axis, but they're a few blocks away. Axis is on the opposite end of the bridge as Hitler.

If it is closed, there is another Nazi bar in Daejeon called Rommel. I don't know the way there.

I don't understand how some skin head can come here looking for directions to a Nazi bar and have no one insult him or tell him off.

Why is there a Nazi bar in Korea? Why are there skin heads here, and why are we tolerating them?

Yeah I'm generally about the relativism, but some things are just sacred. Just because I'm open minded doesn't mean I want to be nice to skin heads.

I'd rather be in a room with a convicted murderer than someone who swore allegiance to the Nazi Party.

I was in Japan over the weekend and stepped into a reggae bar. I got to talking with the owner, and he told me some story about this skinhead who used to stop in and hang out. Kind of strange.

Beeyee isn't a skinhead. I haven't seen him at any of the jamborees.

Because Koreans don't connect it with fascism.

Because Korea is a good place to live.

Because we're so damn sexy.

What if skinheads are nice to you?

Luckily none of the skinheads in Korea fit into either category.

And just so everyone gets the joke, we went to the Hitler bar to make fun of it. We wanted to put a little fear in them, rather than just show up and hold some lame protest.

Not strange at all. Skinheads have always been closely connected with reggae music. In Seoul last winter I co-DJed two soul/reggae nights with another skinhead.

I just don't get it. What's the point of being involved in something, however loosely, without taking side with some of ideals/philosophies/traditions of that particular thing?

If a bunch of skin heads were having a clan meeting and I happened to be in the vacinity I'd be pretty disgusted. Same as if a bunch of fundies are having an anti-abortion rally. Yes, we can all be relativists about the matter and say that everyone has the equal right to believe in what they want to believe, though it shouldn't prevent rational people from rationalizing that those beliefs which others carry are either lacking or stupid. Such as thinking Hitler was "da man" or believing the earth is six thousand years old.

There is a such thing as right and wrong, and I think Nazism is wrong (as most sane people do). If someone calls themselves a "skin head" then I think its safe to assume they're in toe with Nazism, if not they're a poseur and I'm not sure which is worse.

Racetraitor, why don't you keep a stock of links to websites and/or torrent downloads to answer all those who assume you're a nazi because you're a skinhead?

I should clarify that it was a skinhead with the swaztika tattoos and all.
