I've gone on a few deviled eggs kicks here.
The trick is to make a SMALL batch - otherwise your digestive system will be pretty scary for the next few days... whoo-ee! |

haha, no, maybe not the healthiest thing in the world, but they are fun and easy to make...and delicious.
what do you guys put in yours?
i use mayo and sweet red pepper cut up really fine. and sprinkle a little black pepper on top (my grandma's recipe). |

The last Thanksgiving before I came to Korea one branch of my family decided to have a deviled egg contest.
Deviled eggs are one of the first things I learned how to make as a child. You may prefer more or less mustard or mayo, but it is almost impossible to ruin.
Everyone said my cousin's girlfriend was an awful cook, and she even said she was a horrible cook. I thought maybe she was letting criticism get to her, but she managed to make deviled eggs that were inedible.

| What exactly was the contest? Who can make the best eggs? In my family the contest would be more of the consumption quantity variety... Nothing quite as bad as egg farts and tasy burps. |

| The secret is the quality of the mayo. Sugury mayo will make terrible devilled eggs. A bit of pickle relish, maybe some capers, a touch of mustard, a dash of hot suace in the mix. |

| Deviled eggs without vinegar are pointless. |

| I think the hot sauce gives it a bit of vinegar. |

| Onions and dill pickles go nicely in deviled eggs. Also Italian dressing. |

I use as minimal mayo as possible, and I use lite Mayo.
6 eggs
1 tablespoon of mayo
chopped green onions
garlic powder
some pickle juice
some mustard
and Paprika on top!
