Can you have mail sent to a post office and held until you pick it up (like "general delivery" in the U.S.)?

I did this when i first arrived. Had the package sent post resente to Seoul. It was a pain in the butt to track down. The lonely planet book says the main post office has a post resente counter, but at the time (maybe still now) the main post office was undergoing renovations. So i went to the acting main post office. I luckily had a copy of the receipt which my sister scanned and sent to me, it had a sort of tracking number on it and proved that my package had been received. Well at this post office they were like we don't know this person that signed for your package etc etc. Mind you there was a semi language barrier this whole time. Eventually they called around and found out the name of the signer was in fact another post office. The post office clerk luckily helped me get a cab and told the driver where to go.

So i got to this other post office where my package was being held and had even more language troubles. I showed them the paper, the girl at the counter wrote a couple words in English (she wouldn't talk) yada yada about 30 minutes later they point me to another counter and my box is sitting right there. It was stressful and a headache, but it did eventually work out. I wouldn't do it again in Korea until the main post office is reopened. But it's up to you, you will probably eventually find the package.

That's "post restante." Here's the wiki link:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Poste_restante

Never used it, so can't say anymore about it.

Can it only be sent to a city's main post office, or can I have it sent to one of the smaller neighborhood post offices? How do I find out the post office's mailing address?
