THe reasons your games hang up is because the modded console means
added pressure for the components inside. Even without the mods, Xbox
is well know for creating a lot of heat, so I would suggest getting a cooler kit, and then selling the whole lot.

I had a modded Xbox360 with 10 "copied" games, and nothing ever went
wrong when I used the add on cooler. Laughing

I've posted the question to people on other sites (mainly those where you can get such games and is home of the uber-console-nerds) and they suggested the same. However, the fact that some games were without any freezing whatsoever does not completely support that idea.

However, I understand that it may only require that fix before it works perfectly. I still don't want to go through all the research when I already know how little I use it! I'm hoping that the amount of money along with the number of games will inspire someone to buy it and take on the task themselves!
So to those interested, it could either be a cooling fix (which sounds not too difficult to fix by ca12bon's post) or crappy burns.....you decide Wink

im curious how changing the firmware can add extra pressure to the components inside, since there isnt a good mod chip for the 360 yet that i know of.

From what I understand the problem is down to cooling of the GPU. It's not a modded xbox problem but a problem with a lot of xbox's. There are lots of speculation as to why it happens.

There are reports of some cooling units drawing too much power and burning out the power outs on the 360's so watch that as well.

Were they earlier models or not?

Was that Microsoft Korea or outside of Korea. How long did it take?

Did they notice that the anti-tamper label had been moved?
