|
|
Hi;
I'm looking for some decent flash card downloads, the wider the variety the better. Basically, my school has asked me to tailor a curriculum more or less from scratch. I can requisition money to buy flash cards at a store, but downloading and printing them would obviously be more convenient. Anyone know some good resources on this? The google results I got have been sparser than I'd like so far. |

Peter!
I like your style. Or should I say, "way" ( I doubt few will get the reference.). Don't worry about what you can't get, just what you can......
I did inventory last night, I have over 22 GBs of educational material. I feeel like a junk yard dog. But there it is, never intended it to be this way.
I continually get emails from teachers and do what I can. Also get continually emails from the powerful and influential wantabeeeeees = saying they own education and for me to stop spreading the gossip of helping students.
So I ask you to check out my site but also send me an email and I'll send you all the desserts you desire.
Sincerely,
D. D. |

Also try mes-english.com
It's free.
He has thousands of humorous and dead-accurate flashcards (you'll see what I mean), games, and activities. I have used his website with both adults and students.
"The Superhero Project" from his website has been qutie a hit in my 5-6th grade classrooms. |

Looked over the sites recommended above a little--- a LOT of good stuff there, so thanks. I'll be compiling the starts of a proper curriculum all day Sunday. I've decided to only make a weeks' worth of lessons/curriculum for now. If my general approach works well in the first week, I'll do out the whole curriculum. If not, I'll scrap what needs to be scrapped and scare up some new ideas. Hopefully this ill be a fun challenge rather than pure drudge. |

Step one. Go to www.eslhq.com
Step two. Go go the Flash Card section.
Step three. Print. |

the best way to make flashcards is to take any generic ppt on a subject/theme (say VERBS) and then go to print view. Select 6 slides/page and then print. Also a great way to decorate your class, just use large ones, or larger printouts of slides for greenboards and whole class. Just use velcro on the other side.
You'll find lots on my own powerpoint site. Also visit my buzka for my community members. Lots of clip art sites listed there in the teaching resource spot. Cool stuff the buzka. http://eflclassroom.buzka.com/

The biggest thing I'm looking for is stock images right now, basially a cornucopia of any word I might choose to put on a flash card. I'm doing short A words this week--- ant, can, apple, track, etc.... |
