I don't want to leave Asia when my GEPIK contract runs up. I know that a flight home is provided by my employer, but is there a way to cash in the ticket or have them pay for a flight home at a later date?
My plan is to travel around SE Asia until Christmas, but I'll only be able to do so if my flight home is paid for.
Is anyone else thinking about doing something like this? Do you know of anyway to change the ticket? Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. |

Well, if the school hasn't already paid for the ticket, you should be able to get them to pay the cash equiv. If they scoff at that, tell them you'll take a couple hundred off the quoted ticket price if they pay it in cash. Otherwise, you're in a tough spot, especially if that ticket is already paid for. Good luck. |

You can just flat out ask for a different, cheaper destination, like Thailand to kick off your trip. I don't know about GEPIK since it's government run (Isnt it?), but most hagwons would jump at the chance to save some cash like that. |
