The director at my old hagwon paid a million won to a recruiter for a new teacher. This was two years ago. So maybe it's changed these days.

My director told me it is aprrox. 1 million to 1.5 million( I suppose depending on how desperate they are). Life as a recruiter must be sweet. What an easy job for good money

You should see what Corporate recruiters make. The kind who find teachers for company classes. They get paid for every hour you work.

If you get 50,000 per hour, the pay is atleast 65,000 per hour.
So they make 15,000 for every hour you work. Usually though, they set it up to make 20-40% of the total being paid.

All those jobs that you see advertised (on other sites) for 40,000 per hour every morning, really pay 65-75 per. The recruiter takes the rest.

Set up 10 teachers at an hour a day, and make 25,000 for each hour. You make 250,000 a day for doing no work. Thats a cool 5,000,000 a month. Every month.

I know 1 guy who has 19 teachers, at big corporations. I make a crap load of money in Korea, and figure, he makes nearly double what I do, for not too much work.

As justbecause said, most recruiters charge between 1 and 1.5 million won per teacher.

So they make pretty amazing coin if they can get their crap together.

I knew a guy last year who was placing easily, 7 to 8 teachers a month.
