|
|
My goodness, ants are completely invading my apartment. Before you jump to conclusions, I do try very hard to keep a clean apartment. I am not the tidest person in the world but I try very hard not to leave food out or leave dishes in the sink. Last night I ate one Reece's MINI-peanut butter cup, crumpled up the wrapper and threw it in the garbage. I wake up the next morning and the trash is swarming with ants. I can't stand it. I have ant trap thingys and mosquito spray that kills them instantly but I want them to be gone for good. I always see random ants crawling on my walls and on my laptop.
Any advice on how to nuke these fockers ? |

| Lemons, Mate, lemons. Get a whole lemon from e mart or supermarket. Slice it in half, squeeze abit all around the edges etc. The ants get right away from it. They hate it so much that they'd prefer to be 50 meters away from it. I tried it once and never had to squeeze a lemon in the house again. |

| I have been getting a few single black ants that like to sting me at night, especially after I turn the lights off, but no infestations or large numbers. I never seen anything like this in north America as their sting really hurts. These buggers hurt and will make you lose sleep big time, leaving a red sore whelp that lasts for several days. They are very good at evading my swats and anger me when trying to rest. Often in the early evening I will see one walking on the floor which is when they are easy to kill. I am not sure why these little black ants like to sting me in bed, but they do it. I am going to try rubbing lemon juice on my arms and legs next time I know one is in the room. A single super itch inducing mozzie in the room at night going for my legs and feet is a problem at times too. I think both are finding their way through the space under my door measuring about 3 mm or are popping through the window screen during the day, but numbers are always only 1 or 2 each night. |

| My daughter was bitten on the third finger by an ant when she was a baby. She has to get surgery (under anaesthesia) because it swelled up or grew like a tumor would. Strange insects around this part of the world. |

| I always get tiny brown ants in the summer, but it hasn't been so bad this year. I've heard from a couple of Korean friends that if you've got ants, you don't have roaches - and if you've got roaches, there won't be any ants. So that's something! |

When they start eating grease and bits of old boxes and totally ignore things like sugar and honey, then they are true fockers.
I will test out this lemon/tabasco thingie. |

Ants?!
I have c/o/c/kroaches as big as airplanes and spiders that look like mini tarantulas, but those are my friends in the war on the roaches. |

Ants? If all I had in my apartment were ants I'd be thrilled. I have mold in my apt. that would horrify you. And the smell of mold makes it very difficult to sleep at night. (Luckily I'm changing jobs in a week.) My last apt. in Seoul was totally overrun by cockroaches from day one.
Charming apartments they select for us. |
