Hi all-
I gave my 60 days notice at the public school I work at due to a family emergency that I have to go home for. Now they say they want me gone by next Friday. Someone said that it is Korean law that they must give me 30 days notice, or pay me out for 30 days. Can anyone point me to a website or phone number to call that can verify that this is the law? I am meeting with them in a hour...
Thanks! |

I was trying to abide by the terms of the contract by giving two months notice. I will not be coming back to Korea after going home. Now they are saying they are going to fire me, and they are saying I have to leave by next Friday. According to the contract they have to give me at least 15 days notice, but they are saying that they can back-date their notice of firing to the day I turned in my resignation. They are being major a-holes. |

If they fire you they have to pay you an extra month. Good luck getting this money out of the country though. |
