Ok, so on another forum there this one really persistant troll who seems to be able to create IPs at the drop of a hat.

http://www.asiafinest.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=129462

It's just one guy but he is being a real pain. The Mods seem to be catching him pretty quick, but I feel bad that they have to be deleting his shite every 10 minutes.

So tech guys, how can the mods/admin there be rid of him for good?

Trolls are indeed annoying and is even worst when they come from the site's own administration! I think its interesting to note the reasons why such trolls come for a reason, mostly to harass and express hate in an attempt to level the playing field. Some trolls have good purposes but most of them (like on Dave) are just immature (remember Kaizen?). Quite frankly I don't go to Asia's finest because there are too many stupid people on it and seeing who trolls like Kaizen mixes with tells me a lot about their purpose.

Anyway, I think a more thorough registration process may be required for, like being a paid site. I know a number of forums out there where one needs to pay $20 a year to be a part of (eg. Suzuki Cappuccino). That could be a good way to deter users who don't have a reason to support the site.

Someone in Korea can just go to one of a million PC Bangs and post from there. Good luck catching them.

Just like cancer and heart disease, the best policy is try to prevent it. That's what Daves.com does. You have to write an email saying why you want to join before they let you in to the Inner Sanctum (all hail). From my personal experience I've found it's pretty easy to lie but it still takes a bit of an effort on the part of would-be trolls.

You all suck by the way, particularly the americans.

EDIT: Let's keep this post private from the MOD's.

EDIT EDIT A MILLION: fistface, is that the kebab guy in Itaewon? He's such an amazing guy, always welcoming and in a good mood. He's the first kebab guy I've ever gone to in Korea and the next week I noticed there were a load of copybat kebab shops lurking in the dingy corners of itaewon, korea and everywhere a wooden tabletop of beer and dubious oggly googly over the mandu top girls were lurking around. I reckon he should set up a franchise.

Some avatars are worse than trolls.
