Hey,
I was looking to hit up an island on the west side of Korea. Does anyone know of any nice, quiet islands to take your gf to? Or, a nice quiet beach town?
Thanks |

Check out Sapsido. Should be fairly quiet now. |

I highly recommend Seonyudo. It's a 2-hour ferry trip from Gunsan in Jeollabuk-do. It has a really great beach, a couple of picturesque fishing villages, decent hiking, rental bikes to explore the islands, and plenty of minbaks to choose from. I went this time last year and it was deserted.
Here's the website in Korean. Click on 'Tour Guide' to see some pictures.

Deokjeokdo, which is one hour from Incheon has a fantastic beach and is probably deserted by now. |

Have to 2nd Deok-Jeok do. Sappori beach is a blast! A bunch of us will be over there camping it up and having a going away party for a good friend the following weekend. Should be quite an awesome bond fire! |

I recommend Dokdo.
They sell jars of bird shit at the lowest prices in the country. They also have rock massges, rock tools for sale, and rock pebble oatmeal for dinner.
You can watch a daily performance of the Korean navy ships chasing the Japanses fishing boats away. At exactly 2:00 pm everyday. |
