If you are looking at a job in Gunsan at a hogwon, be careful there is one there with managers that will try to screw you over. They will fire you just before the end of your contract....
Just a friendly warning....
I dont think I can say the name of the school without possibly getting charged, cause you cant bad mouth korean schools.  |

What I don't understand are the libel and slander laws here. In civil law where I come from , if the statements are ultimately true, they are not improper. That is also called freedom of speech. |

I here ya. But if you are not presently in Korea, they do not have jurisdiction and couldn't do a darn thing to you.
Even if there is an extradition agreement, do you think any country would extradite for libel or slander , especially about a bad hogwan employer? |

They could, but it would take a lot of effort. It would sure be interesting to see what kind of settlement, if any, one could get if you sued someone from scaring away potential employees. |

I doubt there are very many hogwans in Gunsan owned by an American (a white American). I know of only one, but I could be wrong.
Can't remember the name of the school, which is why I asked, but he's the guy who refuses to pay pensions and taxes and breaks other labor laws because "he's an American, so Korean laws don't apply to him". |
