Has the political situation with the South and the North affected how long you will stay?
I have already left because of the political situation and the way it's progressing

I've seen a lot of posts previously written by long-timers who are leaving South Korea, and was just wondering if it has anything to do with the political situation right now. Are there any long timers here who are leaving just because of the politics/possible threat of war?
Just thought it would be an interesting topic. Btw, I'm stealing the subject line off of a previous thread from the old forum.

I honestly don't know what I'd do. Especially if something were to happen soon (which I don't think it will but...) becuase my wife doesn't have a visa and they might not let her come with me. In that event I guess We'd high-tail it to the mountains.

Uh, you're going to stay and fight?
Exactly what are you going to stay and
fight with, a rolled-up newspaper? Un-
less you're with the military, they want
you evacuated, not involved.
Anyway, according to all those stories
about the terrible North Korean prisons
on MSNBC.com, they feed those prisoners
chemically treated KeemChee, and
then the prisoners vomit up blood and
die. So that's what chemical warfare is.
I suggest we disarm KimJongIl by destroying
all his Keemchee fields.
And further, people are being thrown on
bonfires for saying the name of Christ up
there, according to Soon Ok Lee. If Kim
Jong Il throws me on a bonfire, I probably
scream the name Christ too, and a few
other things.

I'd stay and fight.

I'd launch a counter-attack with my Let's Go 5 teacher's guide.

I'd get to that page with the "He wants to be an engineer" chant and they'd retreat so fast...

Screw that. America and Australia already have way too many poisonous snakes. I say it's time that we make our poisonous snakes work for us.

Load up a bunch of B-52's with 'em and carpet bomb North Korea with venomous snakes. Two days later Kim Jong Il will come to his senses, "No more snakies! We give up!"

I am Kimcheeking! I would get my troops out in the battlefield. I've got tanks (little square kimchee) I've got artillary mu-kimchee, I've got landmine kimchee (cucumber - actually more like sinkhole kimchee), I've also got good 'ol regular troops cabbage kimchee.

Watch out I will spice them all to death.
