no, but there's nothing sexy about some hokey getup that looks like a tent painted by kindergarten kids. to be sexy there should be some suggestion of the sexual nature of the person wearing it, and the hanbok does little but suggest ""hey i may or may not be hiding a bomb or 3 kids under this thing that i really don't like wearing"
traditional? yes. ugly? a matter of opinion. to me, like a good 50% of korean aesthetic traditions, it's as stupid and hokey as a bustle or a corset. sexy? no. i think that can be mathematically proven.

the word we were discussing was "sexy", not "beautiful".
and sorry, the hanbok looks stupid. that's just a personal aesthetic judgement. how does expressing my personal opinion mean "jealousy"? why would i be jealous of something i personally dislike looking at? |
