Hello everyone

I'm planning on starting up a weekly roleplaying group
just outside Junghwa station on line 7. I've already got
a few members and I'm looking for about two more
people.

We're thinking about starting off with a sci-fi game. If
you're interested, let me know.

Cheers
Peter

Hmm. When would this game be scheduled hypothetically?

It's still up in the air - we're hoping for a weekday evening
and finishing up around 10ish, but if too many people can't
do it, we'll probably move to Sat or Sun.

We're going to collaboratively compose a story while possibly
drinking beer and eating pizza. We'll also probably develop
characters, make fictional decisions, and establish a setting.

It's good fun, really. A bit like watching an interactive movie..
you can make the choices for one of the characters. You're
welcome to have a go at it - let me know if you're interested!

If you don't like it, you're free to bail out as you please.

Eh? So you're going to sit around and shoot the sh*t and tell lies? Sounds like a good conversation activity with high-level students. Mind if I steal your idea?

Can I be an orc-powernight/mage level 12 with an atomic hello kitty laser sword death mallet?

Oh and just to check. What country are you from? You aren't American are you?

If my character kills himself at the start of the game, does that mean I get to go home early?

Wasn't this topic done a few months ago, with a bunch of dudes dressed up with swords in the park? What happened to the pictures?

RPGs are a huge amount of fun as long as you don't get idiots who take it too seriously.

And it isn't any more geeky than spending hours posting on an internet forum Wink

There's no orcs. Just you know. people. like you. or me.
Nor are there 'powernights' or powerknights for that matter...
mages really aren't in the game either, sorry. the atomic hello
kitty laser sword death mallet is a possibility, if you offer me a
token that can be exchange for a sexual favor at familymart.

But seriously though. There is deathmallet orcpowernight/mage
gaming... and there is plot-focused, chill, and mentally engaging
gaming. I'm more for the second.

I am from the US, but finished my ba in germany, moved to the UK
did my MA in london, then came to Korea.. so while it is m home,
I find I prefer europe. I was just a first gen american anyway, so
the roots aren't there.

IF you're interested mrsquirrel, just let me know. Otherwise... I
guess you can go on fantasizing about your hello kitty sword?

Actually, it's if you kill yourself at the start of the
game, you get to go home early.

I swear. It's the fastest way to go home.

Just try it.

But seriously - if you want to have a suicidal character,
that's fine with me. I'll just want to know why your
character is suicidal. And then you can go home. If you
still want to.

At least rpgs nerds don't complain about people stealing "our" women. We have no women to steal! ...and I'm going to miss 4e cause I'll be in Korea.

Hey hey, speak for yourself. I have a beautiful girlfriend. We
studied together in London and she's the whole reason I came
here and learned Korean. And if you steal her, I'll be really
pissed.

I might even throw some dice at you.

The other thing is at the gaming sessions (and preferably
also here on this thread of the forum) we'll not complain
excessively about Korea. You can complain about any
country/culture if you look for reasons. I don't want to look.
I'm quite happy just living and not searching for reasons to
be unhappy (not really targeted at you Chiasson, just a
general note on my preferences and the typical expat in
korea).
