Anyone know if it's possible to get an English navigation system for you car here? Apologies if this has been answered before...the search function doesn't seem to be working right now.

Haven't heard of Eglishee SatNav here.

Might be better to read/write Hangul, and have some one show you the basic settings. Once you learn once, your OK.

There's always an ad in the classifieds of the Herald or the English Joonang Daily, can't remember which, for an SAT/NAV system for Korea in English. Might be worth looking into.

As said before, it's probably easier to get some basic Hangeul skills and just use a Korean one. The i-Station PMP's have a good GPS as well as all the other stuff that comes with PMP's. That's what I use. I must admit that my wife usually sets-up the GPS for journeys. Embarassed My Korean ain't good enough. I could probably strruggle through it though, given time.

Just to say, we bought an end-of-line model from local shop at 280k in Korean, and haven't looked back.

The best thing we ever bought. A higher priced model would have been better, but it meets sour needs.

Yolu just gotta be able to change the quickest route / preferred route option.
Then you can copy a building address or telephone number into it, and it should take you there with minimum fuss.

Can be annoying if you tap the screen to quickly, and it decides to freeze!
Many times, ours went on the blink and we had to power off and remove memory card for 2 secs; after which it works fine.

Also downloaded the software to backup on to the memory card if it totally blanks out (this has happened 2 times, when we were impatient with it).

I got one installed at the Mobius shop. About w260,000 as i recall. It is Korean, but my friends stepped me through the basics. It uses one of the more popular mapping engines (whose name escapes me). Sometimes it makes some weird routes, but most likely that is because I don't know how to operate it beyond all but the most basic functions. Each time I upgrade it from the internet, things seems to always improve, so I know they continually work on it.

There's a car audio shop in Itaewon that sells an English system. I have one and it's great. Down from where the BK used to be then turn right at the Buy the Way, it's down the hill towards the Crown and Capital hotels, just past the curve on the left.
