yeah, but it's not the same thing. If you're religous and you give your money to a church, you expect the money to be used for good things like helping the poor, etc.

Very Happy

Silly me. I thought the official at a church was the minister. Thanks for setting me straight on that, Superfly, so now I know it's the accountant.

In case you didn't notice, that's sarcasm. As mentioned, some people steal. And some even steal from churches. Let's hold off condemning the church itself until it's proven the church itself was involved in stealing and not a victim.

i don't think he said he was pissed off at the church itself. more like pissed off because the money you gave was meant for good things and now those good things are not going to happen because of one demonic person.

Or a member of the Vehemently "Religious" and Knee-jerk Reactions Club.

Keeping on theme with religious hypocrites like Demophobe and the person in the OP, let me tell you about the pastor at my grandparents' church. He was caught a few years ago in the local public homosexual sex park, called Saddle Creek. He propositioned an undercover cop posing as a male prostitute, and was subsequently arrested.

(He is still the pastor at that church.)

Thanks. I read far more into the posting than was there. Please accept my apologies, Superfly.

No worries bro, I wasn't taking a shot at the church, just pointing out that when we tithe, we expect the money to be used responsibly. It's too bad that so much trust is given to people in those kinds of situations...

And you know I usually stay away from politics & religion threads... Razz

Damn, I was hoping the headline was going to be "Korean government makes church pay $20 million for hostage ransom."

Ask me about the scum who embezzled an undetermined, but rather large, amount from my university, Superfly. She worked in the finance office there.
