Okay, so I live in a villa apartment between two churches in Uiwang.

For some ungodly reason, the church which is adjacent to my apartment (actually about 8 ft from my window) insists on making the most racket between 3-7am in the MORNING during WEEKDAYS. I don't mean mild racket, I mean starting at 5:00am with Hallelujah on speakers then some crazy uber-loud confessions right up until around 7:00am by several guys also using the same stereo system. The church is quite large, so you can imagine how powerful the sound system is.

Normally I can sleep through it, because they usually start after I go to bed (4:00am). Tonight they started at around 3:00am and they've been so loud that I literally laid in bed for two hours trying to sleep and couldn't. Its ridiculous. I could understand on a Sunday morning, say, between 8:00am and 12:00pm, but they make the most noise on Weekdays. Don't churches usually make the most noise on Sundays?

I've never been able to get a sound sleep here during weekdays in my three months and I've always thought it was the humidity. Now that the humidity has left, and I no longer sweat a pound in my sleep yet I still am quite tired during the work day, I'm starting to think its the church. Like I can't go into a deep sleep (which I need) because the noise is so loud, yet its not loud enough to wake me up. Tonight I was up especially late so I couldn't get to sleep in the first place.

Is there anything I can do about this? Would the police recognize a genuine noise complaint of this magnitude? Why does the Church of God insist on screaming prayers this loudly at these ungodly hours of the morning? I tried closing the windows tonight, I've even tried sleeping under my pillow. The sound goes through everything.

As a side note, why do people in the 21st century still believe in god? Shocked

Is there some mosque nearby that the church is trying to drown out with noise or something? Damn, sucks to be you.

Download some Muslim prayer chants and play them at full volume in your stereo from your apartment window. Better yet, go outside and set up shop outside the church doors.

Torching the place would seem the only sensible way to proceed given the circumstances. With the parishioners inside.

Only on Dave's would this post be left untouched.

Seriously, this clown suggests burning down a church full of people, but it's Christians that are the bad guys?

Ahhh, a man after my own heart. Except I'd send the lions in first, lock the doors, led the lions out and then torch the place.

Don't worry about it mopho, we're just being bad non-christians. But seriously, the concept of placing Jesus under citizens arrest for masterminding global unrest, violations of privacy too numerous to count, wars, genocide, murder - it's just so appealing. Not to mention that I feel physically ill every time I see a model of a semi-naked man handing lifeless from a cross everywhere I go, I'm sure that's an arrestable offense somewhere, if not, then it's plain sick.

Oh yeah, welcome back Lynchie.

Thanks, nice bite, really brightened up my Monday morning. But don't you find it ironic mopho that you follow a religion pushing so strongly for patience, tolerance and acceptance and yet you can't ignore even the crude antagonism?

I also find it funny how you call people clowns when you have chosen two in your avatar to represent yourself. Education? Got everything I need thanks.

Hey! Stop ringing my mf doorbell, Christian freak! And yeah, you are responsible for it even if you didn't actually push the button or come to my building.
