The last few times I've been in itaewon I've tried to go by there to pick up some stuff, but it's always been closed. Is this a permanent thing, or do I just have bad timing?

Forget the Red Door. It's expensive and doesn't have that much selection. Songtan is much better. Of the foreign market near Whatthebook.

If you like expired meats and cheeses, and deoderant that burns the hell out of your pits. Songtan's ok at best. It's gone seriously downhill.

There's a really nice shop in Sinchon behind the Hyundai dept. store, next to the park. Much wider selection of goods with reasonable prices. The guy who runs it is pretty cool.

Yeppers - if you buy a bottle of Jaegermeister from the guy, ask him for a discount - he usually gives one.
