Sometimes I gossip about celebrities, but I try not to gossip about people in my life.
Not because I'm a good person, but because you never know who might over hear you and repeat something out of context. |

My English teacher at school once taught at Malbrough, the big public school. One of his pupils was a somewhat dimwitted kid, my teacher told me how: 'he was a great kid, but when i looked at him i knew he was never going to make anything out of his life which made me sad' then my teacher told me how one day a few years later he turned on the news and he found that (in his own words) 'he is a co ckney and he is marrying Madonna'
as for me
On arriving back in England recently I saw the front page of some tabloid....probably the sun or the mirror or something. It was all about Sharon Osbourne's 'secret' or something like that, for a second my interested hightened, I dont know why as I dont even like the Osbournes , I had to tell myself that as I had been fine for 12 months without gossip I could survive without knowing what the secret was. strange sensation. |

In keeping with the OP, I try not to gossip because it can come back to bite you on the bum. I might gossip with a very close friend whom I trust - otherwise I try not to engage in such tempting activity. And it is tempting to gossip! But I prefer not to be a tittle-tattle. And I'd feel very ashamed to have betrayed a confidence. |
