I'm coming next week. Any suggestions on where (anywhere in Asia) to go during that period for a reasonable amount of money? Thanks so much for your replies!

| We're going to Taiwan for Chuseok with Eva Air and it's 407,000won pretty good ofr this time. I originally wanted to go to Singapore but tickets are ridiculously expensive if u can even get on a waiting list. |

You are aware that you CANNOT get a re-entry permit until you have your ARC and that leaving on holiday without one will void your E2 visa (unless you are American - they have multi-entry visas).
Or did you mean a trip INSIDE Korea? |

| I have my ARC and am an American. But I won't be able to afford to leave the country for this holiday, as I didn't get here until the 21st, so I'm only being paid for the 8 days I worked in August. So, in-country suggestions are welcome. |

| Last Chuseok, I went with friends to Damyang, an area about 2 hours south of Seoul on the west coast. It's 'known' for its bamboo forests, bamboo rice, bamboo wine... etc. We stayed at a place called Damyang Resort, which was really lovely with good hiking in the area. I don't have links anymore, but if you search around you can probably find it. |

My husband and I are facing the Chusak question now. We'll probably stay in country, but would like to fly out if it's not cost prohibitive. I tried that "whypaymore" site, but it was all in Korean, and I didn't see an English option. Did I miss it?
Before giving me a hard time for not being able to read the Hongul, please know that we've only been here for 3 weeks. I can decode the text, but don't have the vocabulary to figure out what I'm reading. laugh. |

| I've been wondering if any last minute deals tend to come up for Chuseok. I know I'm pretty much screwed for tickets right now, but if I wait til a few days before and just take what I can get, will I have any better l | |
