|
|
I'm looking for any information about Wall St Seoul branches - good or bad experiences.
Particularly interested in what any current / former staff have to say about the place. Details of pay / shifts / hours worked, any other + / - points, & how this place compares to the other adult teaching places.
Before I get flamed, I searched already! Sorry if I missed any relevant posts...
Suggestions about other decent adult teaching places welcome too.
TIA,
Dan |

their part time deal seems WAY better than the full time deal...you work half the hours but you get something like 75% of the salary and you're free to add on a second job. very strange. Anyway go in for an interview. Seems like a very professional place. Unfortunately I used someone who recently pulled a midnight runner as a reference...guess I won't be getting any job offer from them. |

Second job...hmm. Sounds illegal. And why did your friend pull a midnight run, that might be exactly the type of information I'm after.
The difference in (hourly) pay rate from part / full time is confusing. Since they don't supply housing, I get the feeling things don't add up, unless I'm missing something somewhere. 2.4 full time with unpaid vacation, for 40 hours a week plus Saturdays sounds terrible, since you have to pay rent yourself. Only reason I'm looking into it, I've heard decent things about them...but this was a way back, and I've lost contact with the people I knew who worked there. |

WSI is one of the great employers in Korea. Really respect teachers and the benefits are brilliant (for full timers): teacher's party, trips abroad, etc. They really reward hard work and the prospects are good for full time staff. |

Whistleblower, you aren't management in disguise are you? Anyway, what is the full time pay? I heard 2.4, without rent...that does not sound good to me. |

I've received a pm telling me to forget about them, all sorts of things alleged. The person claims to be in late stage of contract, waiting for severance. Hmmmmpppphhhh...maybe time to try elsewhere. |

the 2nd job is totally legal (as in on your ARC)...it's done with a public school, but afterschools count. i know someone makign around 4.0 doing an after school and WSI.
but yeah the full time looks like total garbage. |
