I'm looking primarily for online articles or links to sites where I can do a bit of research on Korean high schools.

Does anyone know of anything. So far, my google search has produced very little. I do use TESOL quarterly but there isn't much there either that specifically addresses Korean HS students.

Any info or weblinks would be appreciated!

Most of them have to learn to read and write English to get into a good uni, but speaking isn't going to be a priority at that point in their lives. Some HS students speak well and it is important, but many just don't care as their short-term goal is to get into a good uni.

There's been quite a few discussions about this before. I recommend using google to search the site. "eslcafe.com, high school"

I'm actually looking for published material related to Korean High school... articles, journals, research topics and literature reviews completed by professionals in TESOL.

I'm in Korea doing research for my practicum and will have my M.A. in TESOL in December. I need to find more sources online. My topic is the "Efficiency (or lack thereof) in Teaching Conversation English in Korean High Schools"

Ahhh. Gotcha. You will probably have better luck getting articles on that from the local ESL/EFL organizations.

Try the publications from KATE (http://www.kate.or.kr/Contents/Publications/Article/list.asp)

and KOTESOL (http://www.kotesol.org/?q=publications).

I'd also check out both KICE and Keris two Korean organizations that publish papers related to public school education in Korea

I have some fine articles on high school education and ppts on Korean education in general. Please see my prof. development folder (they are prob. near the back). I'll dig up the articles and repost.
