...to meet his family and share a meal.

What should I bring as a token of my thanks/appreciation?

Cheers.

While Spam is a tasty treat, I would recommend some fruit. Any fruit. It's a typical and appreciated gift. You can't go wrong with fruit.

A cake of some description would be good. One of the Paris Baguette varieties usually does the trick.

Bring something you would want to eat. Mostly likely, whatever you bring will be served right there. You can't go wrong with fruit or a cake.

Maybe a fine bottle of alcohol for the Mr?

Don't buy 4 gifts. 4 is unlucky.

Get fruit.

Remember, here, the packaging is more important than the gift itself.

You were being scammed. (handkerchief)

However, for a housewarming party, take a bottle of dish soap or laundry detergent. (Bubbles mean 'good luck' for some reason. Another alternative is a big bag of toilet paper. Don't ask.

You are a legend only in your own mind, jinju. How many years have you been doing the same tired schtick?

Same gift ideas. IMPORTANT NOTE: Dress up for that gig. The ceremony is to honor the ancestors. A clean pair of jeans WON'T cut it.
