A little early for me to start thinking about this, since I haven't even started my contract yet, but.....
I'm thinking about saving up for The Scholar Ship... Expensive, but how sweet would that be?
Cruise the world for 16 weeks, earn a graduate certificate? Sounds awesome, but the $20K price tag is pretty steep!
I'm also thinking about JET in Japan. |

Wow.
A week in each of Argentina, South Africa, Australia, Singapore, India, ending in Greece (extra funds for those stops almost a must!). Getting half a Master's degree done in the four months aboard ship (through Macquarie).
Nice.
(Too bad I'm almost finished my grad degree. If I was in my midtwenties this would definitely be an option.) |

| I have no idea. Right now, I feel like it would be nice to live in Scotland, but I really don't know what I'd do for work there. There's a little place I really want to visit to see if it's worth living at. A little set of islands called the Azores. |
Same here. My Dad was Scottish and I've been been all over Scotland many times. Man, I fell in love with Scotland. If I could get a decent job there, I'd probably go in a heartbeat. Maybe one day. |

That is pretty badass. VanI, can you show me where it says that you finish half of your Master's degree, I can't find that info. |

Somewhere cheap, with beautiful scenery and good food. Would prefer somewhere where I would have semi-god like status due to my amazing skin tone.
Any suggestions? |

| I'm leaving K-land in just a few weeks, so the thought has been on my mind too. Some places of interest for me include Poland, Chile, the Philippines, and of course, the good ol' USA. |

Buenos Aires is perfect. Cheap, safe, nice place and lifestyle, friendly people, lots of English schools and a decent transport system.
The only thing with Chile is that you can get a work visa pretty easily while in the counrty where teaching EFL in Argentina is done 'en negro'
with no chance of getting legal status (unless you are in the country when they have their amnesties)
Also renting a place in Bs As is a pain in the arse. You'll be paying through your nose for anywhere decent. However buying is a different kettle of fish. Check this website for property bargains:
www.argenprop.com.ar
Anyone can buy property in Argentina, a mate of mine who is in the property business over there says soon there will be a huge property crash as prices for property have gone through the roof over the past few years and the bubble is about to burst, he advises to hang on for a coupleof years to ensure a dirt cheap place.
I plan to live in Russia for a year after Korea then onto South America, I would love to live in Bs As but more than likely will settle for the security of working in Santiago brings. |
