I am in the market for some (extremely) new DVDs. Where's the best place to pick them up? Last time I was in Seoul (Yongsan), where I usually buy my stuff, all the vendors outside the mall area were gone and only the 2 small vendors near that main road/outdoor mall were up and running... What gives? Your help is appreciated.

Don't buy them from the Itaewon corner opposite the coffee bean.

Got through 1hr 24mins of 28 Weeks Later before the DVD threw it's toys out of the cot, packed it's bags and started attacking the back of my laptop with a series of short jabs while singing DaeHanMinKuk.

I was in Yongsan on Saturday and got some good quality movies again (recent and classic). The best are way out the back of the old market. A bit hard to explain but as you exit the train station turn right and walk over the foot bridge, go down two floors and out the doors, there are a couple there and more at the other side of the car park along with a good games market.

Also, there are some good vendors in Insadong. All are cheaper than Itaewon.

Inside major subway stations (Gwanghwamun, Dongdaemun Stadium, etc) are good places. There's usually 1-3 of them in Hyewha along the main strip. I see a guy outside Yeouido station quite a bit. Hell, everywhere I go with major foot traffic I see the guys! The best are the 5 for 10,000 won, then they give you some odd movie for "service."
