prozac is dangerous stuff - I recommend getting better friends etc - and forgetting about the past - just be happier....

but if you really need it - and can visit Seoul (I know you live north of POHANG) - why not go here -

I guess you could get one here - http://www.internationalclinic.co.kr/AP/AP_1.asp

at the International clinic in Itaewon... the doctor is very professional - heis both a General practiioner and Psychiatris - trained in the USA...

scarey sometimes - (to me) - because - (not being american myself) - when I walk into is office - I am greeted by a handsome kind Korean doctor - who says "Hello, ........... How are you today?" with a perfect USA accent..... (the last thing I expect to hear)....

If you can't travel to Seoul - then why not go to your NEXT biggest city (near to where you live) - DAEGU - and visit a doctor - explain that in your homecountry you NEED prozac to survive and need a refill...

I would say best option is to try one of the International Clinics at the hospitals or outside of them ... but to also be aware that not all of the antidepressants or other medications used in our western countries are used at all of the hospitals ... I would not expect any problem in getting a doctor to maintain a dose that is working well for you ... but a problem that you may experience is perhaps in finding someone who uses / can prescribe what you need. It may depend on what the medication is ... It also wouldn't hurt to have a letter from your previous doctor confirming what you have been prescribed.

I just go to any "nae gwa" or "jung shin gwa" (which are scarcer).

Learn to recognize these clinics.

Just walk in, bring your ID. Communication may be a slight hassle, but it's obvious you want to see a doctor. Learn the word for prescription. You can write what you need if necessary. Most doctor know some English.

I second the International Clinic in Itaewon, if you can get there. They keep a number of medications on site -- the place is like a mini-pharmacy. If they don't have what Dr Kim prescribes, you will get a prescription and can go to one of a number of pharmacies in the neighborhood.

If you're already taking fairly common medications, you ought to be able to get them here. (I've had no trouble with mine, anyway.) If you only need a refill, find a regular doc who speaks English and explain what you need. That's what I did at first. In fact, a pediatrician hooked me up with my first refill when the supply I brought with me ran out.

Good luck.

Prozac is a horrible drug. Try meditation and St Johns Wort instead.

I used to get my prozac scrip from and international clinic, mine was at Asan, then just get it filled anywhere, I would usually have to wait a day for the pharmacy to order it in.

And to everyone saying prozac sucks, this med has a different effect on everyone, and unless you are all doctors, I don't think you have the right to comment. and as usual, this thread wasn't asking if you think it's good or bad, just where to get it.

St. John's wort doesn't work at all. It does nothing. It's been debunked almost universally.
