Yes, and I don't know. Don't know..

If it were for kickers, then sociology. For money, probably anthropology or excavation.

That's why I am here. I plan to save a bit, then return for a PhD in Molecular Biology - perhaps in addition to an MD.

I am four courses in to a Ph.D. in Educational Technology. I'm enjoying it, and it's challenging. A great way to fill in time while I am living here.

I consider it daily. Zoology, Aquatic Biology, or similar.
More for personal enrichment than a career move.
However I always thought it would be cool to have or manage a catfish farm or aquarium shop.

I've thought seriously about doing one in theology. I don't really want to do it in North America though and drop a hit of money and 5 or 6 years or my life. Maybe the Philippines or Africa for me.

Seems like a PhD in Education, Health or Public Policy could be interesting. Just because they would be more employable than say 'history' but not as mathematically complicated as say 'chemistry'.

I disagree...chemistry is generally not too mathematically complicated. Physics, however, is a different kettle of fish entirely.

Kind of sick of writing at the present however.... got a month to think about it....

I've never really seen the point of doing one of those 'The role of Pre Tenshusprik's art in modern society and its influence on the sexuality of contemporary spoon-players' kind of phd's...

So is it a PhD by papers only? Or do you write a thesis as well?

Here in Noo Zild, we get 3+yrs to write 100,000 words, defend it. The end. (oh, and publish as many papers as you can from yr work), most folks here publish 3-4 during/straight after.

Hmm...business tourism and destination marketing. That sounds interesting. Just curious, where is that at? (if you wanted to disclose that kind of info).
