Hi! We're Ulsanites making our last pass through Seoul this Chuseok, and we need your suggestions for the best 24-hour sauna/jjimjilbang in town. We'd love to spend a night in something new, fancy, feature-packed or otherwise unique. Thanks in advance for your ideas!

There are a couple of deluxe jjimjilbangs in Myong-dong that cater to finicky Japanese tourists, so that would be one area to concentrate on if you're looking for a full-on experience.

The fabled huge sauna near olympic park is at Bangi station (exit 1?). It is nearby the 7-11 there. The name of it is Seoul Leisure (written in Korean of course).

Can anyone confirm the exit at Bangi Stn for the big jjimjilbang there? Do they also provide towels and soap? I'm thinking of heading down there tomorrow.

Thanks!

Are you a sauna newb?

Towels, soaps and shampoos are generally provided. Many bring their own toiletries along with them including slippers if you don't trust the fungi-laden ones available.

I usually go to the one in Seongsu dong - but this sounds nice and is closer - can you provide directions?

there's a tourist information booth right across from the CGV theater in Myeongdong. They'll hook you up with a map and directions.
