Everyone touts Bill Belichick as a football genius, then he gets caught videotaping his team's opponent's sidelines. If he's so great, why would he have resorted to this cheap trick?

This will definitely hurt his image, and I agree with others that a suspension of one or two games would've been in order. BeliCHEAT in his statement apologized only to the NFL and the Patriots community, he never really admitted wrongdoing.

Meh. The Pats don't need to cheat to win. You see how they crushed SD last week?

Really? Didn't they get caught by the Packers videotaping and the only difference is that the Pack didn't make a federal case of it?

As far as I know the particular rule they were punished for breaking was only implemented this year.

There's no way the Patriots are the only team cheating. They just happened to get caught.

As a Dolphins fan I can say that I don't think an * should be next to their Super Bowl victories. However, I am so delighted that this is a topic in the sports world and it will forever be a debate. I still say Adam Vinatieri was the MVP during that run (or is their run still going?). That hosed call against the Raiders started this whole debacle of Patriot victories. All that being said don't read to much into what I think about the Patriots as they are my most hated sports team ever. Actually, truth be told, it was last year when my blind hatred cleared briefly and I was able to see Tom Brady as one of the greats. I still can't stand that team and am just beside myself that the debate of an * next to their seasons is even an issue.
