After a nice long Chuseok, isn't it grand that next Monday is also a holiday for at least some of us over-worked, under-appreciated folks? Yes, after a mere two days back at work, I get next Monday off for Armed Forces day (Hurray for the military!). I will have to work on Tuesday before getting Sky Opening Day off on Wednesday. Then back to the grind on Thurs./Fri.

I will try to buck up and endure.

Anyone else in the same situation?

two days - back at work? - MOST Public schools in Seoul - were closed today (Thursday) - and many other schools have NO English classes Friday also - so the teachers got the whole week OFF (9 days) - if you count the weekend...

sure then we also get Wednesday off next week...

for me also the 29th October (long-weekend) - school birthday...

then for some reason my school is also closed 8/9th November (extra-long-weekend)...

nothing to boast about having Monday off...

I'm in the middle of a 12 day weekend. Put that in your pipe and smoke it. Smile

Working Thursday/Friday only this week. Most of my classes are on these two days, so I'm pretty happy. I prefer not missing too many classes and splitting my schedule up into a big grading mess.

Sadly I have to work on Monday, but I have Tuesday and Wednesday off. We all know that Wednesday is foundation day, but at my school they will be celebrating "marathon day" on Tuesday (I kid you not), which means no classes and therefore a day at home for me!

In spite of the spoil sports who came in and gloated that they also get Monday off, or even more, I will not let them spoil my gloating. I may stay in bed all day Monday and just gloat, gloat, gloat because most people have to work and I don't. Or I might even go out for a long decadent lunch at an Indian restaurant. And gloat.

I had this Mon-Weds off, then I have next Mon-Weds off, with a two-period, finished by 12 Thursday. Then a week after that I get a full week off. Yeah, I know... tough to be me.

I had last Friday to Monday off. Do I win a prize or something?

10 days....it's been great. I hope I remember how to teach when Mon comes rolling around.
