Jesus talk about weird - I just DID come back from the bar, and actually did set up a date for Monday with a real "sweetie".
As for Spitting Image, I was too young to pick up all the Margaret Thatcher references and all, so never really got into it, but that one is a good skit. Sometimes when I look in the mirror I too utter the words "I've never met a nice South African". |

have you heard of apartheid?
it was this little movement in south africa in which the whites kept the blacks down.
that's putting it mildly.
i think nelson mandela had something to do with all that...

Yes, I'm very well aware of that, though I didn't know there was still massive white colonization there. I thought it was something that you know, ended... I guess I assumed the white people left.

When I worked in Social Work a couple of my co-workers were from South Africa and they were all nice, friendly people. They were black. I've found most black people are excellent, real human beings. Humanists without having to trumpet about it. Now, white people...
And, yeah, I suppose you would call me white. Why can't their be self-hating whiteys? Shouldn't all white South Africans be? |
