It's my last day at work at this school, and it happens to be my birthday. Got no problem with working on the day of my nativity, but, um, I decided this time ... not gonna work.
Oh, I'll BE there, don't worry. But it's snack parties, all afternoon. Choco-pies till the sun comes down. Might even have a glass of beer at lunch, which I've never done since I started teaching kids. Might even play "Hangman." (gasp)
Yes, I call myself a professional. But it's just one day. And it's my last day. And it's my birthday.
So, deal with it. |

No objections, and Happy Birthday!
It's your last day with them, so go off with a bang I say. So long as the parties, games etc. are done in English, I don't see the problem with having a good time with your kids before your farewell.
Enjoy your day I say! |

You have my blessing to enjoy your doubly blessed day of birth and last day of work. |

You've pretty much just described my normal Friday, minus the choco-pies. |

I think all of us would be a lot more cautious about what we post on Dave's if we knew that later it would be read aloud to an audience in a hushed town with sentimental music playing in the background. |
