I took a cursory glance at the comments, and I didn't notice anyone referring to me as "개새끼" so I don't think they were too offended.
I don't think they mean any harm, just curious about what we genuinely think (and learn English too, so killing two birds with one stone).
By the way, why did one of their posters put up this picture?
Who is she? And how does she figure into a discussion about small faces? |

Things Koreans think are attractive that we don't:

pale (as in deathly pale) skin |
At previous workplaces, Korean women always complained that my skin was too pale. How could that be when my makeup wasn't even close to their whiteness of theirs? Plus, I purposely try to make myself look darker, how dare they say I look pale! |
They are jealous of your skin. |

Having a small face is considered very good here. Once a young woman held up her hand so that it covered my face, and said, "Oohh, Troll_Bait has such a small face," in a tone that overflowed with admiration. I've actually heard that comment quite a few times, and it feels weird that I'm attracting young women with my "small face."
Koh Ara is only 17

So then why does it say 19 where her chin ends? |

I know it's a compliment. But it only makes sense in Korean. There is no idea within English that gives the English expresson "small face" anything but a funny meaning. So, to express how this sounds strange, I'm looking for another english phrase that would sound really funny in Korean.
An example would be "chemestry." It sounds strange in Korean when it means attraction. But it doesn't meet the mark of sounding as strange or funny as "small face" does in english. |
