|
|
The K-Girl I've been trying to date just told me flat-out that she likes me and that we should go out soon. In Confucian fashion however, she has no suggestions for where to go, and looks at me blankly every time I ask her opinion on the matter.
I'm drawing a blank, and I don't want to add to the massive pile of cultural mistakes I've already made with this girl so far. (And yes, it is my female co-worker, as mentioned in my last pathetic-scramble-for-advice thread...)
So.... Nory-bang? DVD-Bang? The movies? A restaurant? A bar? Back home, I always took girls back out to bowling alleys, does that fly here? |

Treat her as you would a child, children hate/can't make decisions. Decide what you want to do and then tell (don't ask) her the plan, including all minor details such as time, which subway station exit to meet at etc.
A good place would be a comfortable venue where the alcohol flows, such as Brix in Hongdae. Keep the conversation light and about her, act the clown do not get involved in any serious discussions/ask her opinion on world events - you will only be disappointed.

Be a Man! You make all the decisions, you tell her what to do.
Stop being pusi whipped.
Take her somewhere you want to go, who cares where she wants to go.
Whatever you do, don't take here somewhere where there are lots of korean guys. There's bound to be a Kok Blocker somewhere in the group.
One thing I do admire about Korean men is that they take charge. |

Take her to Hongdae and tell her there's a good chance you'll make her famous on a TV documentary. |

Really? I'm pretty sure that's what I hate most about them. |

This has to be one of the most ridiculous questions I've ever had the misfortune of reading on this board.
I think it is safe to assume that this is the OP's first date EVER, so maybe I need to cut him some slack, so I will tone down what I am going to say here:
PATHETIC. |
