Is this brand new or what?
I usually don't post on here but I became a member so I can pm people with specific question or to get more information on things.
Today I tried to pm someone and it said I had to have at least 25 posts before I could pm anyone.... |

Tzechuk, no worries.
I still have your last pm so I think I can just reply to yours. But I tried to pm someone else and it wouldn't let me. Thats what I think its new because I had no troubles pm'ing you about a month ago.

Yes, but he will make many posts at once and in 20 minutes be able to PM.
The cost of not letting newbies PM people isn't worth it just to deter a troll. |

I agree. He has time on his hands, and he'll find his way around it. Meanwhile the restriction will annoy genuine posters. |

lately i've noticed a few spam pms ... people trying to lure users across to other expat forums.
anyone else getting these pms???
i think that may have something to do with the 25 post limit! |

Yes. They are the reason. It is one troll in particular (the one who can not be named) but he has nothing to do with the other site. They are at pains to distance themselves from him. He's been banned from there too. |
